Robbing Zombies – Masquerade – Atlanta, Georgia – Sept 23, 2017
Chris the drummer’s cover band Robbing Zombies played last, 3 hours after Black Tusk went on at the Slaughter Que festival. We stayed around to see what it was all about, and were impressed with the band members’ musical skills. While they didn’t sound like Rob Zombie exactly, they did execute their sound quite well, and put in a lot of well-worth-it effort into the costumes, props, lighting, and even the dancing girls. Alan of Prime Mover jumped in and helped sing along, too. The show was fun, and although it was difficult to see a cover band after a headliner, it was a nice way to relax and end the night of performances and running around. I do have to say, I don’t remember the last time I saw a cover band sell t-shirts..;)
